Kirkwood

Outside East Atlanta, Kirkwood is probably where I spend the most time. My kids have grown up playing at Bessie Branham Park, and I’ve lost count of the birthday parties we’ve attended—or the friends we’ve unexpectedly run into—there. The village is also home to independent restaurants, neighborhood shops and Indigo, my favorite nail salon and spa. Kirkwood’s signature events keep the calendar full throughout the year. Lanta Gras brings Mardi Gras energy to the neighborhood, the Spring Fling fills Bessie Branham Park with music, food and the Tour of Homes, and the Kirkwood Wine Stroll turns the village into one big neighborhood gathering. Located between East Atlanta and Decatur, Kirkwood feels connected to both while maintaining a personality entirely its own.
