East Lake

East Lake is another neighborhood where I spend a lot of time. PERC Coffee is one of my favorite places to settle in with my laptop, and with my best friend just up the road in Decatur, this is often our meeting point. Poor Hendrix and Gene’s are regular stops when coffee turns into lunch, dinner or drinks. East Lake is also home to Drew Charter School, the East Lake Family YMCA and a convenient Publix, giving the neighborhood many of the everyday amenities people want close to home. Beyond the places I frequent, you’ll find tree-lined residential streets, historic homes, parks and local businesses along Hosea L. Williams Drive. Its location between Kirkwood, Oakhurst and Decatur makes it easy to move between several of my favorite eastside neighborhoods.
